After 30 hours of classroom and hands-on skills training, as well as participating in a car seat check event, Doug Metzgar, vice president of Safety For Toddlers, is a certified child passenger/car seat technician.
The certification, established by Safe Kids Worldwide, follows a strict curriculum set by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Safety For Toddlers joins Safe Kids for their free safety seat check event at Babies R Us in Meridian. We’ll be on hand to provide free safety seat checks and vehicle safety tips. Also be sure to check out the cool new Safe Kids van (the only one in Idaho).

If you’re a parent-to-be or just curious about how well your child’s safety seat is installed, drop by the Safe Kids Buckle Up Event at Kadel’s ICR at 5102 Chinden Blvd. in Boise. Certified car seat technicians will be on hand to perform free car seat checks and discuss motor vehicle safety. The event runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
